科学と技術(工学)って真逆な領域だと思うのに
科学のほうがイメージ良いから薄っぺらく使い回すよね
東工大は工学メインだし、医学だって工学そのものなのにな

多分、新大学のエラいさんの中に、昔、理学部のセンセから「工学部とか医学部とかでやってる事って、理系の大学でやる事じゃなくて、高度な専門学校でしょ」とか煽られた人でも居るんじゃないかな??

ハーバード大のセンセがおっしゃってたやつですね。
工学部を作ろうかという話が出たときに、工学なんてのは学問ではなく工場のノウハウ集だから、真理の探究を行う大学でやるものではない、と反対され、結局、大学の外、すぐお隣に、雑に訳すとマサチューセッツ工学研究所になるMITが設立された。
そんなMITをリスペクトしてる東工大が科学を名乗っちゃうとは…。
