結局はおなじものになるので、その解釈もただしいです。この場合は、the veiled meaningとthe true realityの関係を自明なものとしています。
別の解釈、犬っちの解釈では、

the enclosed aspect of the relation between
        the accident,
                which is repeated, and the veiled meaning,
                which is the true reality and lead us towards the drive

the veiled meaningとthe true realityの関係はenclosedということになります。enclosedは犬っちは「秘密めいた」と訳しました。

ラカンの主張として一貫しているのはどちらなのか、まだわからないし、ここではその二つはおなじだと言っているのだから、論理的にはどちらもただしい。だからこれはレトリックの問題です。
veilが出てくるところを探したところ

"Such is woman concealed behind her veil: it is the absence of the penis that makes her the phallus, the object of desire. veilは「女」と深く関係づけられているので、the veiled meaningは「女が隠した意味」というニュアンスがあります。女が隠した意味を男があきらかにする、それがthe true realityだと考えられます。これはたいへん文学的なイメージで、まさにその通りです。ラカンはわからないが、しばしば女性器のイメージで語られます。
そうするとやはり、女が隠したthe veiled meaningと、男があきらかにするthe true realityの関係は自明ではなく神秘だと考えたくなります。あくまでレトリックですが。
アガルマは対象aが姿をあらわしたときのきらめきなので、対象a=the veiled meaning=女性器とするとごく自然な比喩になります。the penisとの対比にもなっています。lead us towards the driveも、男子にとっては比喩的にまさにその通りです。

たぶんここはどちらもパースも論理的にはおなじだと思います。しかし隠喩的には違う。
上の引用のthe absence of the penisは、たぶん本当はthe presence of the female genitaliaなんです。

it(=woman) is (the presence of the female genitalia)
    that makes her the phallus
    that makes her the object of desire.

と置き換えれば、ずっとすっきりします。
後者は自明だが、前者のthe phallusは自分の名前のことです。しかし、the phallusが本当に自分の名前だと信じられるのは、おかあさんが自分の名前を呼んでくれたからです。ちゃんと調べないといけないのですが、前者はこのことを言ってるのではないかと思っています。

やはり論理がわかっていない
