　コードの10%が他の成果物の再利用らしいとは、ライセンス感染の心配はないのでせうか。GPL(Gene Public License)的に。

　本当かなあ。どうやってコードを取り込むのでしょうね。

食ったもののDNAが関係しているだろう、と研究者は考えてるようですね。
しかし「頭より小さいものはなんでも食っちまう！」といっても、ワムシは口の周りの繊毛で水流を作って、入ってくるものをまるごと漉しとって生きてるだけのような…。

Bdelloidは単性生殖、つまりほぼクローンで子孫を作る割に異様に多様性があるそうで、外界から積極的に遺伝子を取り込んで自己の遺伝子を組み替える特殊な仕組みがあるのかもしれませんね。
クリプトビオシス [wikipedia.org]のような特殊能力が、取り込んだ遺伝子によって実現されているらしいというのも面白いです。
