リンカーン大統領というのはいろいろと面白い発言を残したそうで、私もいくつか聞いたことがある。ただ、うろ覚えなので正確な引用をネット上で探しているのだけどなかなか見つからない。今日1つ見つけたので記録しておく：

When Lincoln was a lawyer two friends asked him to settle a disagreement between them. They asked him how long a man's legs should be.

After thinking for a moment, Lincoln replied, " Well, I think a man's legs should be exactly long enough to reach from his body to the ground.
