(5:07) Nintendo does not need to in my opinion put out you know another FPS game, 3rd person shooter. They. To me. I don't think that Nintendo will survive or do any better if they produce content that mimics a lot of the same repetitive genres that we see you know currently on the pedestal here in the West, and furthermore I think that there is a kind of cultural sort of centrism when people make those comments that somehow gaming has left Japan behind and that it's a new and more innovative and more interesting era. I think that you know we certainly can enjoy the titles that are put out here in the West, but I don't actually see a lot of creativity from the major publishers. Now the indies are different story, but...

Honestly, I think most Japanese companies don't care enough to make that effort. I've noticed with a lot of Japanese video game, manga and anime companies they're just not that interested in localizing things for other countries. They make things for Japanese people and if other countries citizens happen to enjoy those things, so be it, but they're not going to let it effect their business practices. It's a shame, but it seems like only the companies that are already known in the US (for example Nintendo, Shounen Jump, Square Enix, etc.) will focus on the international market.
