そもそもパソコン開けないので対策できない
なのでセーフモード云々もわからない。
ついでにいうと普通の人はこれがウィルスセキュリティソフトが原因だと思わず
パソコンの不具合と思う人もいる。
（よくある「何もしてない」に該当するかも・・・・）
解決策に辿り着くのは容易ではないことは私の母で証明されているっ！！

素人じゃなくても、Windows 8 のセーフモードはF8が使えなくなり、ログオン画面などから切り替えるから、今回のようにOSが起動できない状態になると詰む。
あと、Windows タブレットの場合はセーフモードでタッチパネルとBluetoothが使えないから、USBキーボードがないと何もできなくなる。
いずれほかの事例でも必要になるので、どなたかよい方法をご存じないでしょうか？

USBキーボードで試してみました。
「スタートサークルが出ている間に」の記述通りにやってみましたが、Shift+F8は機能しませんでした。
相当遅いマシンじゃないと動かないとのこと。
PS2ならできるのかな？

Windows PEで起動して、"bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy" コマンドを実行すれば、以前のバージョンの起動画面に戻せる。
そこでF8を押せばSafe Modeで起動できる。

たしか複数回(何回かは忘れた)正常起動できなかった時は勝手にセーフモードブートに入るはず。

という冗談はさておき、改めて紙媒体の重要性を感じました
様々な物の電子化が進む今日ですが、手元に紙媒体がなくて困る場面これから増えるかもしれません
それを踏まえると読みにくい説明書はいかがなものでしょう
ハイパーテキストではなくプレーンテキストの整備、今後の課題かもしれません
