品質面で大火事になったのは主にサードパーティ製の、無駄に管理者権限を必要とするアプリが大半でしょう。元々管理者権限を必要とする変な作りをしたアプリ以外で、大火事になるようなひどかったものはほとんど見ていませんが。

もっとも、Vista 対応と言って管理者権限へ昇格するマニフェストを付けただけ、という豪快な対応をしたものがほとんどだったりしますが。

# FreeBSD でも Linux でも、メジャーバージョンアップ時のマイナーバージョンが 0 でガンガン入れるような人はみんな人柱扱いされてませんか?

実際、仮想化～以降の件はあり得ませんね。Linux を入れて VMware なりで Windows を入れて、そこで動かす等であればともかく、Wine ごときのエミュレータ程度では話になりません。
