Windows10はデフォルトのままだと年２回〜３回のメジャーアップデートが降ってくる。これが CB。
コレに対して、企業ユーザ (Pro / Enterprise) は Windows Update の設定変更により CB の導入をおよそ１年間ほど遅らせることができる。これがCBB。CBBでは最大２世代（Windowsの最新バージョンと１つ前のバージョン）のサポートやアップデートが受けられる。
適用を先送りしている間にバグ修正が進むから CB の初期リリースに比べて問題が減っていることが期待できるし、あるいは内製のアプリが Windows の最新ビルドで問題が出る場合でも、先送りの間に対応をすす
