気に入らない奴が自社製品を使っていたからと言って、客を訴えるというのは従来の感覚ではありえない。
悪いやつがトヨタに乗っていたという理由で、トヨタがその客を訴える
悪いやつがハーゲンダッツを食べていたという理由で、ハーゲンダッツがその客を訴える
悪いやつがOracleを使っていたという理由で、Oracleがその客を訴える。
悪いやつがWindowsを使っていたという理由で、Microsoftがその客を訴える。
…いずれも考えにくい。
やはりWeb企業の感覚は他とは違う。個人的にはちょっと理解できない。

とありますが、Googleブログの方ではGmailには一切触れられていませんので、Gmailを使ってたことは今回の訴訟には何の関係も無いんじゃないですかね。

怒りのポイントがいまいちピンとこないな。
麻薬の密売で哀れな貧乏人がシャブ漬けになるのはどうでも良いけど、ワンちゃん猫ちゃんを詐欺に使うのは死んでも許さん追い詰める、みたいな話?
でも、実際には使ってないか。ワンちゃん猫ちゃんをお迎えしようとしたのに届かなかった、許さんこの世から消し去る、かな?

死刑に使用を禁じている自社の薬物を、死刑に使用した（州）政府をを訴える企業、ってのは米国では普通にあるだろう。

この例でいうなら、Outlook.comのアカウントを大量に取得してSPAMや詐欺に使用され、自社のインフラに無用な負荷を掛けられた、とかじゃない？
苦情対応なり対策機能の開発なりでコストが発生するだろうし。
