と書いてある。減圧装置がついてたとしても、diving depthとは書かないよね。
長波受信装置もコイルのサイズから言ってそんなに低周波よりにはなってないし、
そもそも基盤の部品からいって5000mの深海で使えるほど出力が大きくないように見える。
これ、BBCが16.500ft(=約5m)の小数点をカンマと間違えたんじゃないの?
因みに・・・船体をスラスタだけでここまで安定させる技術は
すばらしく画期的なレベルだと思う。

BBCの記事には、

地域によって桁の区切りにピリオドを用い、小数点にカンマを用いるところがありますが、
この研究者はオーストラリアの方ということで、位取りにはカンマを
用いているはずです。だからBBCの人はカンマとピリオドを間違えた、、、ということは
ないはずです。ないと思います。はい。

記事の最後の方に「小さい方が耐圧を行いやすい」という文がありますから、
小さい潜水機のメリットも色々あるようです。

ということなので、5,000 m というのは開発目標のようです‥‥間違えたのかな‥‥
