この本が発売された後、半年くらい経ったら
Qt4がリリースされてしまうような・・・。

それとも、Qt4のリリースは来年後半になるのかな？

出るタイミングとしては確かに遅いですが、Qt4が出ても、普及するまでは1年以上かかるでしょうし(KDE-4.0が目安となるはず)、Qt3とQt4とで基本が大きく変わるとは思えないので、とくに問題はないでしょう。
