I started my Slashdot career in Slashdot org. which is American site. For a long time I had only fifteen fans in my fan's list. (Now it's over 50.) At that time I had a fan whose name is 'Otter'. He was in my fans list for just two months then he took his name away.
Usually we don't take away our friend's name in our friend's section, but of course it's free. We can put down any name and remove any name, too.
I write down their name in my journal, so they are publicly known that once they are a fan of mine. Hoping certainly it deters them from removing their name in future.
